God Bless the Native American Indians

God Bless the Native American Indians For they have suffered far too much The great invasion that took place Has hurt these people and stolen their sacred land.

This country was so at peace When its righful peoples were not yet discovered But the selfish liars arrived and decided That what was not theirs could just be taken Away from those who so cherished what God gave to them And forced their sinful selfish ways of life on these beautiful people.

This great sin that has been comitted against these people and what is rightfully theirs Has caused distruction of all that was once pure in this land Cement now smothers Mother Earth Causing a sadness that comes with anything that seperates man from standing on natures floors.

The most spiritual people of this world Have been lied to enough Stolen from and broken down Give back to them what is rightfully theirs, Dear God Give them peace and freedom.

The white man has disobeyed your commandment "Thou shalt not steal" For this he has gone unpunished for too long God Bless the Native Americans They are the First People of this land They honor it as no others even understand to They are your people And they shall always be the only true "Americans"

Native American Prayer

Oh, Great Spirit
Whose voice I hear in the winds,
And whose breath gives life to all the world,
hear me, I am small and weak,
I need your strength and wisdom.
Let me walk in beauty
and make my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset.
Make my hands respect the things your have made
and my ears sharp to hear your voice.
Make me wise so that I may understand
the things you have taught my people.
Let me learn the lessons you have
hidden in every leaf and rock.

I seek strength, not to be greater than my brother,
but to fight my greatest enemy - myself.
Make me always ready to come to you
with clean hands and straight eyes.
So when life fades, as the fading sunset,
my Spirit may come to you without shame.

Prayer for the White Man

And now, Grandfather, I ask you to bless
the white man.
He needs your wisdom, your guidance.
You see, for so long,
he has tried to destroy my people,
and only feels comfortable
when given power.
Bless them, show them the peace we understand;
teach them humility.
For I fear they will someday destroy themselves
and their children
as they have done so Mother Earth.
I plead, I cry.
After all, they are my brothers......
