" When God Created Mothers " When the good Lord was creating mothers He was into His sixth day of "overtime" when the angel appeared and said, "You're Doing a lot of fiddling around on this one." And the Lord said, "Have you read the specs on this order?" She has to be completely washable, but not plastic; Have 180 moveable partsall replaceable; Run on black coffee and leftovers ; Have a lap that disappears when she stands up ; A kiss that can cure anything from a broken leg to a disappointed love affair; And six pairs of hands; The angel shook her head slowly and said, "Six pairs of handsno way." "It's not the hands that are causing me problems," said the Lord. "It's the three pairs of eyes that mothers have to have." "That's on a standard model?" asked the angel. The lord nodded. "One pair that sees through closed doors When she asks, "What are you kids doing in there?" when she already Knows. Another here in the back of her head that sees what she shouldn't But what she has to know, and of course the ones here in front that can look at a child when he goofs up and say, "I Understand and I Love You" without so much as uttering a word." "Lord," said the angel, touching his sleeve gently, "Come to bed. Tomorrow" "I can't," said the Lord, "I'm so close to creating something so close to myself. Already I have one who heals herself when she is sickcan feed a family of six on one pound of hamburger and can get a nine-year-old to stand under a shower." The angel circled the model of a mother very slowly. "It's too soft," she sighed. "But tough!" said the Lord excitedly. "You cannot imagine what this mother can do or endure." "Can it think?" "Not only think, but it can reason and compromise," said the Creator. Finally, the angel bent over and ran her finger across the Cheek. "There's a leak," she pronounced. "I told You, You were trying to Put too much into this model." "It's not a leak," said the Lord, "it's a tear." "What's it for?" "It's for joy, sadness, disappointment, pain, loneliness and pride." "You are a genius," said the angel. The Lord looked somber. "I didn't put it there." Angel of the Night by danette m. wiegel From deep within the darkest brush lay a soul at his weakest point in life, his clothes are tore, his body cold, he has just lost his wife. A broken heart has taken all away from his everything, and just when he has given up hope, from the sky he sees something. A tiny light is floating down and helps him to his feet, and places up upon his head her hand and speaks "defeat". Tis his dismay does he see an angel resembling his wife, "my love" she speaks "I am your strength to guide you through your life", "I had to go, it was my time, but I am still here with you, to help you and to guide you, in everything you do", with this in mind the man just smiled and brushed away the dirt, dried his eyes, and washed his hands and replaced his tore up shirt. He took a deep breath and spoke not a word as he smiled to this sight, and walked away tucked by his side, with this tiny little light. Copyright 1997 Danette M. Wiegel All Rights Reserved
Raindrops From Heaven, The Tears Of An Angel by Sharon McGuire Raindrops from Heaven, tears of an Angel you see, To drench your soul, flood your heart, her love pouring free. Little sprinkles of her hearts light , refreshing and new, To glisten on your soul like fresh morning dew. Let her love wash over you from the Heaven's above, To soak into your heart, and fill you with love. A love that is soothing as warm summer showers, A love filled with strong emotions and healing powers. Please cherish this love, given straight from her heart, It comes from her inner being, her souls deepest part. Raindrops sent from the Heaven's above, Are tears of an Angel longing for her true love. Puddles are pools of tears that she's cried, She dreams of being with you, being close by your side. When Heavenly sky's open, and the rains pouring free, An Angel is near you, in your heart she longs to be.
